We are partnering with Siskiyou Outdoor Recreation Alliance to host a volunteer day on the Sisson-Callahan Trail on Saturday, September 14th from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. With this volunteer day, we'll be able to connect the trail from the IP Road to Kangaroo Lake, something that has not been seen in at least 15 years!
We will meet at the Parks Creek Trailhead at 9:00 AM and complete the workday by 3:00 PM. Travel time to the trailhead from Redding or Weaverville is just shy of 2 hours, so please plan accordingly. The bulk of the work will be brushing and lopping, as well as a small amount of dirt moving to re-bench small segments of highly outsloped tread.
The Watershed Center can reimburse miles driven at the federal mileage rate!
